Our Story

Whether it's punk, folk, hardcore, rock, or indie music, our safe and sober spaces are here for everyone to share their passion.

Project 37 is a branch of the Independent Music Collaborative of Central Minnesota (IMCCM), which is a 501(c)3 non-profit.

Our mission as Project 37 is to provide safe and sober spaces for all ages to enjoy and perform music. We’re here to support the next generation of musicians and revitalize the original music scene in Central Minnesota. Since 2022, we’ve been hosting a variety of shows in the Greater St. Cloud area and beyond. In January 2023, we hosted the first of many “Punk Nights,” through which we’ve been able to give opportunities to young bands who are maybe playing their first show. We’ve hosted indie, folk, deathcore, rock, and many more genres of bands and themed shows! We also feature many kinds of Singer-Songwriter showcases at local small venues like coffee shops and restaurants. Our focus is on creating one-night-only intimate experiences where musicians can share their music to an audience that wants to listen, and to provide opportunities to young musicians to hopefully give them the confidence to continue their music career. We believe the best way to do that is by fostering sober spaces in which any member of the community feels safe.

Our long-term goals are to have a venue of our own in downtown St. Cloud, where we can host sober & all-ages events every weekend; after-school programming; classes on a variety of performance or production skills; and so much more. This is not possible without the support of our community. If you’d like to help us achieve this goal, consider donating at our fundraiser tab above.

Project 37’s committee is filled with local musicians, teachers, and active community members, all who share a goal of making St. Cloud a better place through music. We’re always looking for more active committee members—reach out to us if you’re interested in being a part of Project 37!
